    Default motor starting

    BS 7671 is devoted to wiring only.Can anyone quote from BS/IEC/NEC regarding selection of cables,settings of OC relay etc for Induction motors for various types of duties(steady,intermittent,sudden) started by DOL,star-delta,auto tfr,primary R,shunt capacitor
    types of starters

    A contractor should have the required know how to do a job. For instance he should know how to select a cable for an induction motor handling a particular type of load and a method of starting. I never expected such a reply from a developed country.

    I suggested you start a thread in the CORRECT area as more people associated with electrical work will look there rather than the INTRODUCTIONS forum.
