Well hello everyone. Just a quick note to introduce myself. I'm based in East Sussex and deal with general plumbing, unvented systems, Part P electrical and specialise in Oil Boilers.

I look forward to reading and posting in this forum and slowley getting to know everyone.

By the way how will it be managed for contractors only ?

Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the introduction. We've only been online a few hours and we've already had quite a good turn out.

As soon as we spot a DIYer we'll get rid mate. Though we're launching a sister-site www.DIYHelpForum.net, not just for the UK but anybody from any country, and we'll be sending them there as soon as it's online. We're trying to ensure people are introducing themselves and letting us know their trade etc. Unless they're new to the trade, we might be able to spot them asking DIY-like questions, so that might give it away too.

Generally though, only contractors will be regulars here, and the offers and what-not from sponsors when they come, they'll be for Contractors only, and they'll need trade-cards or whatever, so we'll spot them that way in the future too.

I just go in after the cowboys a fix the the mess they make of the plumbing and the short circuits.......and the illegal boiler installs... If I had a quid for each one...

know the feeling,but not from the domestic side,prefer to sling cast iron around.
