Thread: Redundancy

Hi all,

I'm a Plasterer in Cardiff whose recently been made redundant. I've heard that I might be eligible for some funding towards training? I'm interested in retraining as a Painter and Decorator as I think I might be able to get some further work in this area.

Has anyone here been made redundant?? If so, have you managed to access any funding?? Or did you go straight into another job??

iv tryed everything havent had any luck getting funding. they might give you some once youve been unemployed for 6 months which is stupid all i got was yes you can do training so far ive been passed to 5 different people and at the end was told i wasnt unemployed for long enough

Yes agree you have to be unemployed for some time before you get any help with training etc from the state - stupid hey
