    Very nice Michaelbiito Considered doing the same to my MDF staicase but in the end i just painted it got a bit worried the they may get slippery when wet and kids may break there neck but after seeing your vid will recosider and to hell with the kids neck lol nice job how does it cope with expansion/retraction ?

    have no fear,it is anti-slip.the dutch product is directly glued to the old staircase,quick-step stair system is floating laminate planks.in both cases there is a few milimiters gap between floorboard and stair sides.

    We used to install on many stairs in the UK. As the stair nosing is slightly higher than the laminate, this helps people get a firmer grip on the step. Also people take a little more care when going up & down as they know its not going to be the same as carpet.

    I thought about having this done on my stairs years ago because of the kids and their muddy feet.Do you know if you still have to put the green insulation underneath the flooring.Thanks in advance

    quick-step recommends to use Unisound orCombi-Floor Plus underlayment.there is no need to use underlay for the dutch stair makeover product as the treads are directly glued to the old staircase.

    We never floated the boards! They were always glued directly to the existing treads for safety
