Why does the Plumbing sector make it so difficult for people who are not working for a plumbing company to attain the NVQ
    once you've passed your 6129 lvl 2 and 3

it's very difficult to get a fully spammed up plumber (self emlpoyed or paye) to assist you in signing off NVQ related Items and the Industry in general wants you to learn, but really does not want you to learn outside of their control !

strickly speaking i'm told you dont really need an NVQ and I also understand that the lvl 2 and 3 dont teach you how to be a plumber, or perhaphs a good tradesman, but it would be better if there were routes availible to channel trainees (as thats what I think completion of lvl 2s and 3s are for 1 to 2 years afterwards) but done on a nationwide scale

you could collect your own evidence and bla bla.... but thats a real drag way of doing the same thing
it's the same when I started Carpentry, you ended up blagging your way into jobs to get in with someone who would help you out
but then I guess this is just a gripe and noone in the industry cares just as long as you do as you're told

    ttfn lads
