    11 months into a 1 year guarantee...

I made the choice to have a single PC with two 500gb hard drives.
And software to mirror the data in real time.

But now the system will not boot up. Just hangs. Went to Hertford to take the unit back and
there is just an empty shell of a shop.

This is as they say "not good"

Doh..... Thought only things like that happened to me!!

Have you tried another computer shop see if they can repair it....Obviously it'll cost you but might be cheaper than a new system.

If not some household insurance, bank accounts or cards have policies that might help.... Worth checking out

    Yep update on this.
    1) I have a mate who is a computer god. He rebuilt it for me. I think because its 2x hard drives held together with RAID then it needs reinstalling if there is corrupt data.
    This he did!

    2) The telephone number on the door works at the shop. Local engineer will honour work on their PC's but it took him 4 days to get back to me. He was moving house. Working from home.

So I now have success. Planning to move all my data onto a remote drive with access via Laptops and pcs. No data held on the machines themselves. Got too many photos, website pages and other stuff to risk loosing it.

Thanksf for all the support guys. Always a pain to lose a PC. Have lost a few in my time!!!
